Decorative Type With Fruit, Flowers, Leaves, & Berries - An Online Class With Marika Hahn (Afternoon Session)

Afternoon Session: 1-4 on 12/16/20

Decorative Type With Fruit, Flowers, Leaves, & Berries uses watercolor inks and is designed for adults with varied artistic abilities, everyone is welcome. Inks are transparent and colors are easy to mix and flow beautifully. Participants preferring to use watercolor in tubes are welcome to use their preferred medium. The class will start with a demonstration showing specific techniques needed to accomplish completed paintings. Wet on Wet, Wet on Dry, Layering/Glazing and Brush Stroke Techniques are part of building your skills. The class approaches watercolor using graphic illustration with an emphasis on composition and cropping. Before class, participants will receive pdf’s of the images I will be working on in class. If participants can print these, to reference in class, it will be helpful but not required. Participants can use this class to make art to give as Holiday gifts or design a Holiday card.
