Encaustic, the ancient medium of heated beeswax painting can also be a wonderful printmaking material. It can be combined with drawing, oil paint, watercolor and other media seamlessly. In this hands-on demo, learn the basics of Encaustic painting and see how you can expand the medium easily into monotype printing. All materials provided. All levels welcome!

About Leslie Giuliani
Leslie Giuliani is an American contemporary artist. Her work combines textiles, encaustic, oil painting and printmaking. She is a Core Support instructor for R&F Handmade Paints. She teaches classes in her Weston, CT studio; at the R&F factory in Kingston, NY and at various locations in the US.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Giuliani received her BFA from The University of Delaware, with further studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. Her work is represented in collections of the Housatonic Museum of Art, the State of CT and many private collections. She was the recipient of an Artist Fellowship Grant from the state of CT for Craft
