How do artists create the illusion of space in their artwork? Designing a composition is not enough to make a piece of work successful. An artist must create the illusion of depth in their work as well with spacial relationships. We will look at previous artists works to study their handling of this complex subject, then we will work through some exercises to see the process first hand. We will also complete several studies using these methods.
