Painting Landscape From A Photo Using Gouache – Online Workshop With Michelle Montes

Starts: Friday, August 27th, 2021 — 1:00pm
Ends: 4:00pm
Where: Online Zoom Workshop

Come paint for a few hours to learn the process of setting up, blocking in the composition, and painting from start to finish in the beautiful medium of Gouache. We will do a landscape study with gouache in this class. The medium has a history of being used with clothing designers in which they discarded these works when they were finished. It was thought that it wasn’t a permanent medium, however, that’s not so. Gouache is considered the opaque watercolor, and is also considered the one medium sitting between watercolor and oil. It can be painted thinly on paper like watercolor, or painted thickly on canvas. Come paint with me and let me teach you that this is a very fun medium that can be mastered. Images will be provided but you can bring your own if you like.
