Masterpiece® Alcohol Ink Art Panels™ offer an inspiring Hard-Core surface for Alcohol Inks and acrylic paints. The light texture reacts a little differently than traditional paper, and has more open time and produces a pearlescent shimmer to your artwork. Apply a UV art resin when you are done, and it adds more vibrance to the colors, while offering UV protection. Artists love that it has two sides; it is like getting two for the price of one!

The Hardcore Alcohol Ink Art Panel by Masterpiece is a new surface that offers you more control over your artwork than traditional papers currently available on the market. Our non-porous vinyl is mounted to both sides of a MDF solid wood core, so you have two paintable sides, and it works phenomenally well for Alcohol Inks.
The surface has a little texture and therefore has tiny peaks and valleys. There is a pearlescent shimmer effect due to the way the light reflects off the little peaks, and slight shadows are created in the tiny valleys. The ink does not flow as much, so you can paint a line and it therefore gives you more control over your artwork. If you want more flow, you can add more blending solution or 91% Isopropyl alcohol. Your inks also don’t dry as fast, so it gives you more open-time to work on your project. If you want the inks to dry faster, use your heat-gun. The solid vinyl panel can take the heat…just make sure to always vibrate or move the heat gun around, not focusing on any one particular area.
