Embark on a creative journey with our three-week Pet Portrait Painting Workshop, where you will learn the art of capturing the essence and personality of your beloved furry friends on canvas. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, this class is designed to inspire and guide you through the process of creating a stunning acrylic pet portrait.
- What you will learn through this course is:
- Learn tips and tricks of sketching your pet onto canvas
- Understanding the unique qualities of acrylic paints and selecting the right canvas size and brushes
- Learn layering techniques to build dimension and paint your pet’s features
- Discuss ways to infuse your personal style to the artwork by exploring various techniques

About Amanda Mendoza
“Amanda Mendoza is a queer, Latina artist and survivor of childhood sexual and physical abuse. She uses art as a pathway to healing and connection with others. Amanda illustrates her work using a variety of mediums, such as acrylic paint, acrylic pouring, pen and ink, and alcohol ink markers to show themes of healing and empowerment. Her goal is to empower and inspire others to share their stories and explore art as a tool for healing.”
